Researchers have established what appears to be a link between polio vaccine shedding and the infamous Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease.
Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease is caused from Enterovirus 71 (EV71), which is found in the polio vaccine. Both versions of the polio vaccine, OPV and IPV, have been found to possess EV71.
The source of the study is here.
The concept is that children recently vaccinated with the polio vaccine shed EV71, which leads to other children getting Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease.
According to HealthFreedomIdaho
Viruses from the group called enteroviruses cause HFMD. There are many different types in the group including polioviruses, coxsackieviruses, echoviruses and other enteroviruses. Coxsackievirus A16 is the most common HFMD strain in the US, except Coxsackievirus A6 predominated in 2011-12. Coxsackievirus A6 causes more severe illnesses, sometimes needing hospitalization.HFMD is also caused by Enteroviruses, including enterovirus 71 (EV71) which has been associated with serious complications, and may be fatal.
Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease is easily spread from person to person and is considered highly contagious. More and more, kids seem to be contracting and spreading the illness. The stool and saliva are the main carriers of the bacteria used to spread it.
Children get an IPV dose at 2 months, 4 months, 6 – 18 months, and 4 – 6 years, pending the follow the CDC’s schedule. The OPV (oral) is used worldwide but has not been used in the US since 2000.
[6.28.18 – CORRECTION: polio vaccines are not known to be contaminated with or shed EV71. The polio vaccine ingredients and contaminants may increase susceptibility to infection by other HFMD-causing viruses; however, this rather complicated study is suggesting that some cases, the polio vaccine antibody may cross-react with other types of enteroviruses and may offer some limited protection to HFMD. – Vaxxter.com]
