Kansas City Pediatrician Under Fire Following Measles Outbreak Comments

A Kansas City pediatric office is under scrutiny after posting a lengthy warning regarding measles. Kansas City local news has reported a recent “measles outbreak” in the area, prompting one of the doctors at Priority Care Pediatrics to issue a stern warning to the community. And, of course, to push the vaccine agenda.

The post on Facebook warned people in the community to look for symptoms of measles. It also said that if anyone suspects they might be infected with measles, they should call prior to visiting an ER. The office warns “Please, do NOT use our walk-in clinic. Please, do NOT go to the ER.”

A contingent of local residents questioned the office’s stance on measles and vaccines, leading to the post going viral. The pediatric office claims it was surprised by the traction picked up by the post, however, one of the doctors strongly debated opposition to the post for a good length of time.

Dr. Raymond Cattaneo said that the anti-vaxxers just “wore him down” but he’s on “the right side of science.”

“Turned into something much bigger than that when some anti-vaccine people got a hold of that and bombarded our post. Reading comment after comment after comment you just kind of get worn down because you know you’re fighting the good fight. You’re on the right side of science but you worry that what they’re saying, people will actually believe.” Dr. Cattaneo stated to local Kansas City NBC affiliate, KSHB.

“Measles is one of the most contagious illnesses out there. It’s a scary thing, especially when we know we have an immunization that can prevent this from happening.” He continued.

Cattaneo finished up by channeling his inner-Hillary Clinton.

“The science is clear, this is about saving kids lives,” Cattaneo said.
