Senior Citizens at Risk After ‘Animal Based’ Flu Shot Tanks In Trials

There’s a new flu shot in town and it was supposed to improve last year’s lackluster results. But it seems that researchers and scientists in pharmaceutical labs have come up short once again.

The flu shots of past have all been made using chicken eggs, a strategy that’s taken most of the blame for the flu shot’s failures. The new flu shot, Flucelvax, is created by growing viruses in animals. But it doesn’t seem to have solved any issues at all.

According to KDVR

Flucelvax is made by growing viruses in animal cells, however, many of the other flu vaccines are made from chicken eggs.

The U.S. recently went through a flu season that sent more people to the hospital and killed more people especially seniors.

The FDA found that the chicken egg vaccines don’t work well against that kind of flu bug.

Of course, we will all be told to “get our flu shots because the CDC says that’s the best way to prevent getting the flu.”
