Massachusetts public health officials have issued a warning for anyone who traveled through Boston’s Logan airport recently. You may have measles.
The officials say that on July 20th, a possible measles case passed through Terminal B. They believe the exposure to have been a six hour ordeal, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Additionally, if you ate at the Tasty Burger restaurant on the same day, you might have measles.
Of course, we are left guessing what happened to the measles case after it had a burger and relaxed in an airplane terminal for a few hours. Seeing there is no information beyond Logan airport regarding the case, one has to assume the person was of foreign descent, or at the very least, leaving the country for some reason. What’s also unclear is if the burger eater and the airport sitter are the same people.
The vaccine status of the measles having, burger enjoying, traveler, was not revealed in the story.
So essentially, this story in a nutshell: there was measles, a burger, and a flight that was presumably delayed.
