The New York State health department has sent out warnings to three counties across the state claiming that communities may have been exposed to measles.
CBS New York is blaming an Australian tourist who stayed at multiple hotels across New York City. He also allegedly visited a tourist hot spot. On February 16th, he visited La Quinta Inn on West 71st, where he stayed for a week. So yes, if you happened to stay at this hotel, you might have measles, according to the New York State health department. The measles man also enjoyed some of the world’s finest art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Putnam County’s Watchtower Educational Center, all while having measles, apparently.
An unvaccinated man named Joao Sores is now living in fear, according to the same news story.
“We eat here every day, every single day — since Saturday until today,” he told CBS New York late last week.
