If you are wondering whether you should bother reading about the debacle behind the Proximal Origins paper, consider that this paper was cited as THE proof that coronavirus originated in wildlife. As such, this paper was one of the single most impactful and influential scientific papers in history, and it expressed conclusions that were not based on sound science or fact, but instead on assumptions. It was basically a SCAM.
All the tales behind dangerous viruses and their subsequent vaccines have been co-opted and maligned with lies and omissions, yet they state these lies as facts in the history books. From polio to smallpox, the virus is different but the playbook is the same. The Rona is no different. Three and a half years later, they are rewriting the narrative before our very eyes.
There is now incontrovertible evidence that the proximal origin hypothesis was a deliberate cover up of the facts supporting the lab leak. The decision to hype proximal origin was a political decision to avoid offending China, and have us believe this was a natural spillover. Newly discovered e-mails and messages on Slack both document that a cover up was discussed, planned, and executed.
During the second week of July, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Hearing held a three-and-a-half-hour session. The hearing was akin to a card trick- ‘look over there while we massage the narrative over here.’ It was a disappointment. No teeth. Maybe one snarl.
Following the hearing, however, the government posted a SCATHING 55-page report full of bite. It’s scandalous really. But they deleted it in less than 24 hours.
Poof. Gone.
In an earlier Substsack, I included my call to the government where I asked about the document’s whereabouts. They told me it was a “malfunction,” and that the report would resurface. It has NOT.
Luckily I saved it.
Anatomy Of A Cover-Up To The Power of Two
“Long before the Fauci emails were unredacted, many of us knew that the C19 origin story [was] a Political + Orwellian head-spin,” tweeted an independent researcher named Destiny Rezendes. “The Pandemic has been bewildering, and frustrating but the worst part for many has been the confusion.”
Agreed.
That was part of the aim. Additionally, they censored and banned lab leakers, like me, who dared to question the wet market malarkey.
Both SARS 1 & 2 were bioweapons, Made In China, but financially and technologically supported by the USA Deep State. The virus isn’t that ‘novel’ and “the pandemic virus industrial complex has been in motion for a long time. Hundreds of patents show SARS-CoV-2 is a manmade virus that has been “tinkered with for decades.”
U.S. Patent 7279327 shows we knew the ACE receptor, the ACE2 binding domain, the S-1 spike protein, and other elements of SARS-CoV-2 were engineered and could be synthetically modified using gene sequencing technologies.
Evidence suggests that both the ‘virus’ and the vaccine have their origins in the Department of Defense and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As early as March 2018, EcoHealth Alliance submitted a proposal to DARPA that outlined their intent to work with researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). They conducted genetic engineering (aka Gain of Function) that included inserting novel receptor binding domains found in SARS coronaviruses from the wild and human-adapted furin cleavage sites to assess the effect of their infectivity in humanized mice and, according to Dr. Zengli Shi, possibly using palm civets. Via Fauci, Communist China received approximately $3.7 million in American tax dollars.
It’s stunning that anyone can still consider a natural spillover transferred from a bat to an intermediate source to a human. But still, they cling.
“I will say again, if you look at the scientific evidence, it all points in one direction, which is the single market in the middle of Wuhan and China as the starting point…,” said virologist Kristian Andersen under oath.
Recall that the paper reached two primary conclusions: (1) “…[COVID-19] was not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus,” and (2) that a laboratory-based scenario was not plausible.”
And while they’ve moved the goalpost a touch toward a possible lab leak and further away from a wet market, the powers that be don’t want you to believe for one nanosecond this is a bioweapon. Or that this was deliberate. It was an ‘accident’ – end of story.
In a digital post-truth world, we have cover-ups about the cover-ups. With the Proximal story, they want you to focus on the characters involved and the soap opera of it all. And while I want to set the record straight regarding the “Bethesda Boys” and this “shit show,” the focus should be on this virus and what it really is.
Of course, the Select Committee glazed over this. Imagine if there were any consequences to such trials. The hearing didn’t really grill authors and virologists Kristian Andersen and Tulane School of Medicine virologist Robert Garry, on the genesis of the furin cleavage site or the possibility that scientists on an international level were messing with an engineered ‘virus.’
Instead, the hearing last week was organized to “examine the drafting, publication, and critical reception” of Nature’s now infamous publication entitled The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2, which was published on March 17, 2020. (The paper first appeared a month prior on the website Virological.org).
Testimonies only muddied the waters further, creating more confusion, while seemingly dissolving Fauci et al from responsibility. The goal seemed to be about coming to terms with an agreed-upon narrative, with the unfortunate conclusion that “we will never know the truth.”
“Honestly, we may never know with 100% certainty the origins of COVID-19, especially without full, legitimate cooperation and transparency from all involved.”
The Origins of the Origins Story
The details and drama behind the makings of this document are worthy of a Netflix special.
Let’s put things in context, the Nature paper has received the fifth most attention ever tracked– it has been accessed 5.84 million times. It was used to unequivocally rule out the possibility COVID-19 was the result of a lab leak and had an enormous impact on both the scientific community and the popular press. It spurred hundreds of headlines declaring the idea of an artificial virus emerging from the lab complex Wuhan implausible, even a conspiracy theory.
In addition to the specific goal of disproving the lab leak theory, according to Dr. Farrar, Proximal Origin was to be a “go-to scientific statement to refer to.”
And indeed it was.
While I’ve previously written about the bizarre back-story of what prompted this “proximal original” paper, the government’s vaporized report contained shocking revelations.
The paper’s lead author, Kristian Andersen, a virologist at the Scripps Institute, had privately expressed alarm that a segment of the SARS-CoV-2 genome may have been engineered. He expressed this wasn’t natural.
“The main issue is that accidental escape is in fact highly likely–it’s not some fringe theory,” he stated.
