Democrats are pushing censorship agendas on numerous subjects, but their latest strongarm is big tech and vaccine “misinformation.” Congressman Adam Schiff is leading a push for Amazon, Google, and Facebook, to censor vaccine information websites which don’t promote vaccine use. Schiff claims that big tech companies contribute to a “growing public-health catastrophe.”
Schiff wrote a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Google’s Sundar Pichai, and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. Schiff’s letters targeted the platforms for allowing anti-vaccine media to go uncensored.
“Every online platform, including Amazon, must act responsibly and ensure that they do not contribute to this growing public-health catastrophe,” Schiff wrote.
She pointed out a CNN report claiming that Amazon’s vaccine search results mostly displayed anti-vaccine information. But he report is not entirely true, a pro-vaccine book Plotkin’s Vaccines is displayed in equal display with Vaccines on Trial when the term is searched. That’s an important distinction because it helps qualifies Schiff’s efforts as censorship as opposed to encouraging a balanced search results page.
Some of the books noted in the report, such as The Vaccine-Friendly Plan, do not advocate against vaccine use, instead, spreading vaccines out for children. However, in this day and age, such books are still considered blasphemy by Democrats.
The censorship train is rumbling down the tracks and the media’s measles coverage is infusing it with momentum.
